Elizabeth (age 12) playing with her collegiate teacher, former New York Philharmonic Principal Flutist Jeanne Baxtresser.

Elizabeth draws from her own varied experiences as a student to create an engaging, personalized experience in every lesson.  She teaches students of all ages and levels, as well as provides specialized coaching for audition and performance preparation. She regularly incorporates principles of Alexander Technique, Dalcroze Eurhythmics, and sports psychology into lessons.

Elizabeth's teaching philosophy is one of empowerment and creativity. A firm believer that anything can be made easy, she uses a multifaceted approach to give each student the tools necessary to find their own voice in music. Learn to play the songs you love while learning fundamentals of practice technique, music history, theory, rhythm, and more.

Even if you're not considering a career in music, flute lessons are a fun way to practice creative problem solving, develop breath control and hone your fine motor skills, boost self confidence, and express yourself through music

Elizabeth teaches in-home or at her studio in the Bay Area, as well as over Skype.
